What is UGC NET JRF?

The UGC NET (University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test) is a national-level exam conducted by NTA to assess the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. It includes two papers:

• Paper 1: Teaching & Research Aptitude (common for all)

• Paper 2: Subject-specific (Education in this case)

Who are eligible for UGC NET JRF Exam?

• Postgraduates in Education (M.Ed / M.A. Education) or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender)

• Final-year PG students are also eligible to apply

• JRF Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (age relaxation available)

• No age limit for Assistant Professor
